Spring Valley will be hosting a Teacher Professional Development Program: Service Management Program (SMP) Plus for Higher Education Institution (HEI) faculty members starting November 13, 2017, at The Genesis, in Spring Valley, Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City Capiz.
The training, which includes courses in Java Programming, Game Design and Mobile App Development, and Business Analytics, will be conducted by the Asia Pacific College (APC), in collaboration with the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
SMP Plus builds on the entry level skills acquired in the Service Management Program (SMP), a course developed by the industry members of IBPAP. The program aims to address the industry demand based on the 2022 Roadmap of IBPAP by enabling the Faculty of HEIs acquire an awareness of “in demand” skills and “jobs of the future”. The program will give the faculty members an opportunity to experience working on “real projects” and solving case studies that are developed and delivered by the IT-BPO industry, with the intention that they will eventually cascade this knowledge to their students. The whole SMP+ program was designed in consultation and collaboration with industry experts such as IBPAP, Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), Game Development Association of the Philippines (GDAP) and RxSecure, Inc. The training is open to all HEI faculty members and will be funded through the CHED CPE Grant.
